If you have ever seen a bodybuilder, you have seen someone very in tune with their body. They have to be aware of their diet, sleep, and of course, their workouts. It takes a ton of discipline to get your body so strong.

The Church, those who are changed by the blood of Jesus and are united by one Spirit, is one body. If you find yourself across the world and run into another Christian, you will find a bond with that person that is unexplainable apart from the Spirit of God. The same principle is found locally in a smaller body of believers. We are all one body in a local church.

No matter the setting, we must work out this body as believers. We must exercise each muscle group to reach greater levels of strength. We must properly maintain our body to live up to our fullest potential. Each joint and ligament must be working correctly so this body can function in a way that builds the kingdom of God.

Praise God for the body of believers! We are His hands and feet. We are the ones He has called to build the church with. And He has given us great gifts to help us do this spiritual work.

Join us this Sunday at Cross Connection Church while we cruise through 1 Corinthians 12 and the Spiritual gifts. It’s going to be a great Sunday!
