What To Expect
Message
It is our prayer that each message will be delivered to those listening, in the service or online, through the power of the Holy Spirit as His Word is accurately, boldly, and passionately preached. Typically we walk through a book at a time taking time to see how each chapter supports the themes and truths of the Bible as a whole. We take our preaching seriously while joyfully interacting with the Word and each other.
Sunday School
We believe that children are a vital part of the Body of Christ and have various age appropriate classes during our worship service. Children are dismissed after our Connection Time. The nursery is available for children under 2 years old. It is located in the Lower Auditorium. Sunday School classes are open to children ages 3-13. We ask that parents accompany children ages 6 and under to their classes to sign them in. Ushers are available to help direct you and your child to their class room.
Music
At Cross Connection Church we believe that singing is a valuable part of our Sunday morning worship. Each worship leader chooses songs that will lead others into a posture of worship. The songs are chosen to encourage everyone to engage with Jesus no matter your background. In our worship services, we are all free to worship Jesus in spirit and truth. God has been glorified through our worship as we have seen Him working through those who are leading and those who are responding!
Prayer
We are a church that believes in the power of prayer. We pray for each other and those around us and truly care about each other as we do. We have a pre-service prayer team that meets an hour before the service starts. We take time in our services to pray for the needs of others while offering up thanksgiving to God for all He has done. Additionally, we offer an after service prayer time for those who need prayer or who simply want to be filled with the Spirit or a bit of encouragement.
Coffee
After the service, everyone is invited downstairs for coffee and snacks. It is a time to connect, laugh, and continue to discuss what God brought to light during the service.
Relationships
We value relationships. Every Sunday morning we make it a priority to make space for conversations to help build relationships. We desire that everyone has an opportunity to connect with people to help make friends and work on deepening relationships. There is often a time for this before, during, and after the service.
