How has God been leading you these days Elizabeth?
I am taking an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certification course through the Center For Christian Coaching to become a Christian Life Coach. It is a 6 month online learning program that equips people with the tools and knowledge to be able to walk with others to reach goals and make transitions from where they are to where God wants them to be.
It is due to the partnership between the Holy Spirit, Coach and Coachee that provides a wonderful and powerful process that helps people get unstuck and feel encouraged to take steps forward in areas they are feeling called to grow in their daily life.
I am taking this course to equip myself to better walk with those that God has called me to walk with. I want to heed the calling that God has placed on my life, to be a vessel for His glory and to also grow in who I am in Christ.
How did God show you this was your next step?
A few years ago, God was calling me to commit to a deeper level of servanthood. This looked like a lot of work to grow in how I was living my daily life as a Christian and a recommitment to His plan for my life going forward. I needed to work through some identity struggles and at that time I was doing make-up professionally. But God made a big shift in my heart from seeing outwardly to looking inwardly and the work He needed me to do there. God quickly called me away from makeup but gave me a glimpse of this thing called “life coaching” and a name for a business to come “Beloved Is She”.
In the years that followed, I leaned into Him, growing my passion for knowing who I am in Christ and began researching courses. Before long, I came across the Center For Christian Coaching and the next step was waiting for the resources and timing.
Because God is SO good, He took 2020 to not be Covid focused but instead giving me a start date for my coaching course and at that, a hope for the new year with clarity in His calling for the work He wants me to do.
What do you anticipate God will do through this new adventure?
Growing up I experienced many traumas that had an impact on my identity. Many times I felt stuck and unsure of who I was. Even coming to Christ as a pre-teen, I still often felt lost. Through my journey, God has allowed me to experience many challenges that I now know were intended to equip me to better cling to His truth as well as to relate to His people.
Many years ago God placed a passion on my heart about rooting our identity in Christ and what that could look like practically for Christians in their daily living. God has called us to work as a body and we each truly have a purpose in the body and our individual part is impactful. To know that the very same God who walked with Adam and Eve, Abraham, Hannah, Mary and so many more in the bible, is walking with us personally today is a profound and wonderful thing. The fact that God calls us in the same way right where we are means that how we live our lives really matters. I desire to see more Christians have a growing passion to seek God daily, to know who they are as new creations through Christ and to use the gifts that He has given them to serve Him.
Over the years God placed women, specifically, on my heart. Much of the internal battles that many women face that cause them to question their identity I have experienced myself, and by God’s grace, I have overcome and learned many lessons. Much of our world and the enemy wants to draw our eyes away from Jesus and have it be on ourselves or others, and sadly this is where we get lost. I hope to remind women of who they are in Christ, how He has redeemed them and that they have a kingdom purpose. I hope to walk with women in an encouraging and relatable way to help turn their eyes back to Jesus and where He is calling them in their life.
How can we support you as your church family?
In the coming months, while taking my coaching course, I will be launching my website www.belovedisshe.com where I hope to inspire women to root their identity in Christ and seek God in a deeper way on a daily basis. I will be offering resources, a blog and my own coaching practice through Beloved Is She in 2021.
I believe that God is preparing me to have much more growth within myself in the coming year and to use the gifts that He has equipped me with. It’s both incredibly exciting and an honour to be able to serve Him by walking with His daughters and I ask for prayers as I begin this new exciting journey. PRAISE GOD!
I love how God is working in your life Elizabeth. Thank you for sharing your journey with us…I am excited to see how God uses you this year!
