Travelling downtown in bigger cities like Vancouver with a navigator sitting shotgun who is not focused can be stressful. Being on those busy streets with rows of traffic around you as you wait to see if the next left is yours only to find out it was this right and you’re in the wrong lane can frustrate you. It is good to know where you are going before you get there.
The CCC Leadership Team (Board and staff) have been listening to Jesus for direction for this year. We heard Jesus speak these two words through prayer and discernment, “STEP OUT.”
We believe Jesus is inviting us to step out of what is expected and comfortable and to willfully put ourselves in positions where only the Holy Spirit is the only one who can support our next steps. What steps? That is between you and God. We know this, each of you has a personal walk with Jesus, and He does not want us to stay where we are spiritually today. He is inviting us to take a step forward into the unknown now so we can be where He needs us to be tomorrow!
This can be scarier than making a California lane change through 4 lanes of traffic to make your immediate right! Who knows how that will turn out? What if you crash or miss your turn? What if you are late or get hurt during that lane change?
Great questions. But God is inviting us to step out. He never says faith steps will be easy, but He does promise He will be there as we take those steps of faith.
This Sunday at Cross Connection Church is our KICK-OFF Sunday! We will praise Jesus together at 10 AM, and we want you to join us. We will go through some familiar Bible stories, Rahab, Josiah, and David, along with Proverbs 3:5-6. You are also invited to join us at Charis Camp from 2 after dinner as we share a meal and join together in some fun activities. See you then!
