Who is Invited to the Table?

When Christ came to Earth, he was called a glutton and a drunkard because he associated with those who were rejected by “proper society.” He ate with sinners, tax collectors, and hung out with women. He picked twelve “nobodies” to be his closest disciples. He touched the unclean, healed the undeserving, and cast demons out of the terrifying. To live as Jesus lived, is to be open-handed to those overlooked by our culture and to invite to the table those who wouldn’t normally be offered a seat. Join us this Sunday as we look at how James invites us to look to the foundation of our faith -̶ Jesus-̶̶  as the solution to a divided community.
