This Advent Season we want to prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior and anticipate his coming together by focusing on Who God Is!

Tozer said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

No religion or spiritual experience, no faith, or practice can rise above its idea of God. This means it is possible to wade through huge slices of the Christian life almost by rote. What does that mean? That means we can go through our day mechanically or in habitual repetition without “putting the mental effort in, to think things through” which is the practice of a true disciple.

Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

This Sunday we will look at who God is and what he is doing in the world and discover how that can give us Hope!
